Job Description

Join the Georgia Appalachian Trail Club (GATC) on their monthly 3rd Saturday work trip on Saturday, June 20 from 9 am to 4 pm! Beginners are welcome to join this fun and friendly group of volunteers who care for the Appalachian Trail. This work trip will involve a moderately difficult 3-mile hike in and 3-mile hike out of the work site from Unicoi Gap to section 8.11, Spaniards Knob Spur to Blue Mountain. We will work on narrowing the trail, removing some braiding and improving drainage. Training is provided for all! Wear long pants and sturdy shoes/boots. Bring work gloves and a hard hat if you have your own, otherwise the club can loan you these items. Bring a lunch, snacks and plenty of water. All tools are provided by the club. Training is provided for first-timers. Registration required.
