The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management. This position requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with warehouse systems, and the ability to operate various equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks. The Gate Clerk will be responsible for verifying shipments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting overall warehouse distribution processes. Duties Verify inbound and outbound shipments using RF scanners and warehouse management system (WMS) software Assist with shipping & receiving activities, including loading and unloading trucks using pallet jacks and forklifts Ensure proper documentation for all shipments, including order fulfillment and stock movements Manage order picking & packing processes for e-commerce and warehouse distribution orders Support inventory control through stock counting, stocking, and order picking tasks Operate reach trucks, load & unload equipment, and assist with packaging as needed Maintain accurate records of all transactions in AS400 or MRP systems Monitor security at entry points to prevent unauthorized access Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient order fulfillment and inventory accuracy Requirements Prior experience in warehouse management system operation, shipping & receiving, or warehouse distribution preferred Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely and effectively Basic math skills for inventory counts and order calculations Familiarity with warehouse systems such as AS400 or MRP is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in recordkeeping Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards Prior experience with e-commerce fulfillment, order picker tasks, or packaging is advantageous Physical ability to lift moderate loads and stand for extended periods during shift hours This position offers an essential role within our logistics team, supporting efficient warehouse operations through accurate recordkeeping and equipment operation.
