In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal oral health and patient satisfaction. Your expertise in general dentistry, combined with your passion for patient care, will contribute to creating a welcoming and professional environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional dental services while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including dental examinations and medical history reviews, utilizing advanced medical documentation techniques. Deliver a wide range of general dental treatments such as fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, and extractions with precision and care. Utilize dental imaging tools and radiographs to diagnose conditions accurately while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Implement root canal therapy (endodontics) and prosthodontic procedures to restore oral function and aesthetics. Engage in pediatric dentistry practices when treating young patients, ensuring a gentle approach tailored to pediatrics needs. Maintain detailed medical records and documentation of all treatments performed, ensuring accuracy in accordance with medical terminology standards. Collaborate with the dental team using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Stay current with advancements in dental technology such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix practice management software, and other relevant tools. Uphold strict infection control standards and ensure the clinic adheres to all OSHA guidelines for a safe clinical environment. Skills Extensive knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Proficiency in using Open Dental for scheduling, documentation, and treatment planning. Strong patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate treatment options clearly. Experience in general dentistry procedures including dental fabrication, endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics (crowns & bridges), and oral surgery (extractions). Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization processes within a dental clinic setting. Ability to perform medical imaging techniques accurately for diagnostic purposes while maintaining patient safety standards. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles when working with children or young patients. Excellent understanding of HIPAA regulations for protecting patient privacy and handling sensitive medical records securely. Prior experience working in a busy dental office or clinic environment that emphasizes teamwork through four-handed dentistry practices.
