Job Title:
General Labor Job Description This role involves performing a variety of general labor tasks in a fast-paced, unionized production facility operating on a rotating schedule. You support production lines, handle materials, assist with basic maintenance, and help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment while working closely with other team members across different shifts. Responsibilities Perform a wide range of general labor tasks throughout the facility as assigned by leadership. Dump excess scrap and defective coil parts in a safe and efficient manner. Load propane tanks for use on operating production lines and ensure they are properly handled. Work on the paint line and perform quality checks on coils as they come off the line. Monitor and oversee temperature control to help ensure production lines run smoothly at all times. Assist with facility maintenance tasks such as spreading salt in the parking lot, cleaning workstations, and supporting other housekeeping duties as requested. Operate and support production line equipment as needed, following established procedures. Use measurement tools and follow inspection standards to verify product quality. Follow all applicable safety procedures and contribute to the company's safety culture. Collaborate with other team members on the production floor to maintain efficient workflow and meet production goals. Essential Skills Ability to comfortably work on your feet in a fast-paced production environment for the duration of the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for the duration of the shift. Attention to detail when performing quality checks and using measurement tools. Comfort working around and supporting machine operation and line work. Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with other team members on the production floor. Willingness and ability to work a rotating schedule on 11:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. shifts, Monday through Friday. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior production, general labor, or construction experience is a plus but not required. Experience with quality inspection in a manufacturing or production environment is beneficial. Familiarity with measurement tools used in production or quality checks is an advantage. Work is performed on a rotating schedule of 11:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The facility emphasizes a strong safety culture, with established safety procedures and practices integrated into daily work. Employees work closely together, and the organization takes pride in the level of trust and communication between leadership and staff. The setting includes production machinery, paint lines, propane-powered equipment, and areas where materials and coils are handled, requiring consistent attention to safety and quality. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.04 - $19.04/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
