General Labor

Overview This is an entry-level position that supports production by loading/unloading trucks, cleaning of product, and operating various pieces of equipment. Responsibilities Clean-up left-over product around tanks and other equipment. Load/Unload trucks/rail cars with forklift. Operate skid-steer, front loader, forklift, and other equipment to support production on a daily basis. Stack bags of product in a concise and consistent manner. Sample/Grade trucks and railcars for consistency; notify supervisor/manager of any discrepancies. Guide trucks onto tipper, operate tipper in a safe/effective manner, and unload trucks. Operate augers, belt-driven machinery, and elevators used in the production process. Operate various machinery to support production. Cross-train with other departments to provide consistency throughout the Company. Provide back-up support for other roles as necessary. Available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis, as necessary. Other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor. Qualifications A high school diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift experience; certification preferred. Warehouse experience preferred. Basic operating knowledge of augers, belt-driven machinery, elevators, and other equipment used in the production process. Skills Ability to pay attention to detail among constant distractions. Ability to communicate concerns/problems to manager/supervisor on a professional level. Basic to intermediate computer skills. Physical Requirments Continuously lift/move/push/pull objects weighing up to and including 50-pounds; regularly lift/move/push/pull objects weighing up to and including 75-pounds. Continuously shovel material. Frequently climbs ladders; occasionally works at heights of 100 feet. Frequently stoop/crouch/bend/climb/push/pull objects to complete the essential functions of this position. Vision sufficient to safely perform the essential job tasks. Environment Continuously exposed to outdoor/uncontrolled weather conditions. Regularly exposed to work near moving parts/equipment. Regularly exposed to major amounts of dust. Regularly exposed to moderate to severe noise levels. Occasionally exposed to chemicals used in the manufacturing process.
