General Labor Technician

Global leader in engineering and manufacturing, known for its strong culture of innovation, is looking to add a 2nd shift General Labor to their team in Tiffin, OH. This organization invests heavily in technical development, training, and improvement initiatives! You will set up, operate, and troubleshoot specialized machinery to forge metal parts (such as fasteners, screws, and rivets) from wire stock at room temperature. Ideal candidate must be able to interpret blueprints, perform tool changes, and use precision tools like micrometers and calipers to ensure parts meet quality standards. Shift hours 2pm to 10 PM, Monday - Friday Responsibilities will include: Set up and operate assigned mechanical equipment Check that items produced pass quality control requirements Perform complex troubleshooting of equipment and perform adjustments or repairs Read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications Use required gaging instruments Collaborate with team members to increase overall throughput Assist Lead/Supervisor as needed Consult with management and help with training Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.) Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Qualified candidate will have: Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to interpret verbal and written work instructions Intermediate mathematical skills Knowledge of and able to correctly use calipers and micrometers Critical thinking skills Ability to stand for duration of the shift and good manual dexterity

Pay:

From $20.50 per hour
