General Laborer

General Shop Labor - Painting & Coating A.M. Designs A.M. Designs A.M. Designs is looking for a motivated team member to join our shop crew! We build custom theatre sets, props, scenery, displays, and large-scale themed projects for schools and organizations across Texas and beyond. This position focuses heavily on painting, coating, finishing, and general shop support. No prior experience is required — we are happy to train the right person on-site. Responsibilities Paint and coat scenery, props, and fabricated pieces Prep surfaces for paint and finishing Assist with foam, wood, and metal shop projects Help move, organize, and clean materials throughout the shop Load/unload projects and assist with deliveries when needed Maintain a clean and safe work environment Work with the team to meet project deadlines Qualifications Positive attitude and willingness to learn Dependable and punctual Able to work in a fast-paced shop environment Comfortable standing, lifting, bending, and moving materials throughout the day Attention to detail Team-oriented mindset Preferred (But Not Required) Painting or finishing experience Construction, theatre, art, or shop experience Familiarity with power tools Creative or hands-on background What We Offer On-site training Monday-Thursday w/ Overtime Creative and fast-paced work environment Opportunity to work on unique large-scale projects Family-oriented team atmosphere Variety of projects — no two days are the same To apply, please send your information or resume to: amdesigns@live.com
