General Laborer $18/hr - 6:15am-2:45pm Weekly Pay! Job Description The General Production Worker supports aerospace manufacturing operations by cutting and processing metal parts to precise specifications. This role involves operating chop saws and other equipment to remove ceramic materials, measuring and inspecting parts, recording production data on computers, and following detailed work instructions to ensure high-quality output. The position is on first shift, offering consistent daytime hours in a close-knit, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Operate chop saws to remove ceramic material, filter balls, and rods from aerospace parts according to specifications. Cut metal parts to the exact dimensions required by aerospace customers. Use measuring equipment, including tape measures, micrometers, mics, and gauges, to verify that parts meet specification requirements. Read and interpret work instructions to perform tasks accurately and consistently. Enter data on finished parts into computer systems to maintain accurate production records. Lift and move materials and parts weighing up to 50 pounds as needed during production activities. Use grinders and other power tools to finish and prepare metal parts as required. Operate bandsaws and other cutting equipment safely and efficiently. Handle hand tools and basic machine operation tasks to support production workflows. Apply mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor issues with tools or processes and escalate when necessary. Follow all safety procedures when working around saws, grinders, chemicals, and other equipment. Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and customer deadlines. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations. Why Work Here? Work is performed on a first shift schedule from 6:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., providing consistent daytime hours and an early end to the workday. The setting involves regular use of saws, grinders, bandsaws, hand tools, measuring equipment, and computer systems, with appropriate safety practices in place for working around machinery and industrial chemicals. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chagrin Falls, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
