General Laborer Job Description This role involves working on a conveyor line to sort and pick plastic materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will perform a variety of general labor and production tasks, including handling materials, using basic hand and power tools, and supporting overall manufacturing operations. The position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work safely and efficiently in a plastics processing facility. Responsibilities Sort and pick plastic materials from a moving conveyor line with accuracy and attention to detail. Stand and work on your feet for 8-10 hours per day while maintaining productivity and focus. Lift, move, load, and unload materials and products weighing up to 50 pounds as needed. Perform general labor tasks to support production, including cleaning, organizing, and assisting with basic assembly and packaging. Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete assigned tasks in the production process. Assist with general production and construction-related duties as directed by supervisors. Support packaging and picking operations to ensure products are prepared correctly for shipment or further processing. Maintain a clean and safe work area by following facility safety rules and housekeeping standards. Work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting quality and productivity expectations. Collaborate with team members and follow instructions to keep the conveyor line and production flow running smoothly. Essential Skills Ability to stand and work on your feet for 8-10 hours per day. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and safely. Experience working in manufacturing or general production environments. Experience with conveyor line sorting or similar material handling tasks. Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks. Basic experience with general labor duties such as loading, unloading, cleaning, and packaging. Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools safely. Reliability and strong work ethic to consistently complete assigned tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Background in general labor, construction, or production work. Experience with assembly tasks in a manufacturing setting. Mechanical aptitude or interest in learning machine operation. Experience with picking, loading, unloading, and packaging in an industrial environment. Willingness to learn and grow into roles with greater responsibility, such as machine operator. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.60 - $22.60/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
