This position involves surface preparation, application of coatings, and assisting skilled tradesmen in a physically demanding outdoor environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work in varying weather conditions. Key Responsibilities Assist with preparation of surfaces including cleaning, sanding, grinding, and masking Support application of coatings including brushing, rolling, spraying, and trowel-on materials Mix paints, coatings, and compounds according to specifications Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to job sites Operate basic hand and power tools safely Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety procedures, including use of PPE (personal protective equipment) Assist skilled painters and applicators as needed Work efficiently to meet project deadlines Qualifications Previous experience in construction, painting, or coatings preferred but not required Ability to perform physical labor including lifting 50+ lbs, bending, climbing, and standing for long periods Comfortable working outdoors in heat, humidity, and varying weather conditions Basic knowledge of tools and construction practices is a plus Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Reliable transportation to job sites Preferred Skills Experience with industrial or commercial painting Familiarity with trowel-applied coatings (stucco, plaster, epoxy, etc.) Experience with surface prep such as sandblasting or pressure washing Work Environment Primarily outdoor job sites Exposure to heat, dust, fumes, and loud noise Use of PPE such as respirators, gloves, and protective clothing required

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
