Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a General Laborer specializing in Precasting Septic Tanks and Cellars! In this energetic role, you will be an essential part of the construction process, helping to produce high-quality precast concrete components used in septic systems. Your hands-on work will involve operating heavy equipment, assisting with concrete forming, and ensuring safety and efficiency on the job site. Duties Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and forklifts to assist with material handling and site preparation. Assist with concrete forming, finishing, and curing processes to produce durable septic tanks and cellars. Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to ensure accurate assembly and placement of components. Perform utility locating and pipeline installation tasks to support plumbing and septic system setup. Support welding, pipe laser alignment, and other fabrication activities as needed for precast component assembly. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by assisting with site cleanup, material staging, and safety checks. Collaborate with team members on construction site activities related to oil & gas infrastructure when required. Requirements Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, or forklifts is highly preferred. Knowledge of blueprint reading, concrete finishing, welding, plumbing, pipeline installation, and utility locating is a plus. Construction site experience with emphasis on precast concrete or septic systems is advantageous. Ability to operate specialized tools like pipe lasers and perform basic maintenance on equipment. Strong safety awareness with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently. Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Relevant certifications such as forklift operation or heavy equipment licenses are beneficial but not mandatory; training can be provided.
