General Ledger Accountant

JOB SUMMARY

The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting financial reporting and close processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with accounting standards while assisting in financial analysis, reporting, and operational finance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Prepare and post journal entries Support month-end and year-end close processes Perform balance sheet reconciliations and analyze discrepancies Assist with financial reporting and audits Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies Support budgeting, reporting, and operations finance (inventory, capex, costs) Collaborate with internal teams and maintain accurate financial documentation

Required Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2-5 years of accounting experience Knowledge of GAAP and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) Strong Excel skills with analytical and problem-solving abilities High attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in financial reporting, consolidations, and audits
