- Full-time General Manager Job Description Twisted Coastal RV812 N Commercial St, Aransas Pass, TX 78366 Position Title General Manager Position Summary Twisted Coastal RV is seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to oversee and lead daily operations across all departments including RV rentals, RV service and repair, and retail parts sales.
This role is responsible for operational performance, team leadership, customer satisfaction, profitability, inventory management, and long-term business growth. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, mechanically knowledgeable, and capable of managing multiple business divisions in a fast-paced environment. The General Manager will work closely with ownership to ensure all departments operate efficiently, profitably, and professionally. Key Responsibilities Operations Management Oversee day-to-day operations of: RV rental department RV service and repair department Retail parts and accessories store Ensure all departments maintain high standards for customer service, cleanliness, efficiency, and professionalism. Develop and implement operational procedures and workflow systems. Monitor business performance and identify opportunities for improvement. RV Rental Department Oversight Manage rental fleet scheduling, maintenance coordination, and customer delivery process. Ensure rental units are cleaned, inspected, serviced, and customer-ready. Oversee booking procedures, contracts, customer communication, and issue resolution. Monitor fleet utilization, downtime, and profitability. Handle escalated customer concerns professionally and efficiently. Service & Repair Department Management Supervise service advisors, technicians, and shop operations. Schedule and prioritize repair and maintenance work. Ensure accurate estimates, timely repairs, and quality workmanship. Maintain compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer standards. Monitor technician productivity and shop efficiency. Coordinate warranty claims and vendor relationships when applicable. Parts Store Management Oversee inventory purchasing, stocking, merchandising, and pricing. Ensure proper inventory control and minimize shrinkage. Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing when possible. Maintain organized retail displays and parts storage areas. Track fast-moving inventory and seasonal demand trends. Staff Leadership & Development Hire, train, schedule, and supervise employees across departments. Create a positive and accountable work environment. Conduct employee evaluations and performance management. Lead team meetings and establish operational goals. Ensure proper staffing levels during peak seasons. Financial & Business Management Monitor department profitability and operational expenses. Assist ownership with budgeting, forecasting, and business planning. Review sales reports, labor costs, inventory costs, and margins. Identify growth opportunities and implement revenue-generating strategies. Ensure accurate cash handling and financial procedures. Customer Service & Reputation Management Maintain exceptional customer satisfaction standards. Handle escalated customer complaints and conflict resolution. Monitor online reviews and customer feedback. Ensure consistent communication and follow-up with customers. Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of management experience in RV, automotive, marine, service, or related industries preferred. Strong leadership and team management skills. Knowledge of RV systems, service operations, and repair processes preferred. Experience with inventory management and retail operations. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple departments simultaneously. Proficient with business software, scheduling systems, and point-of-sale systems. Valid driver's license required. Preferred Skills Experience managing technicians and service writers. Knowledge of RV parts and accessories. Understanding of scheduling and fleet management. Ability to read financial reports and manage budgets. Sales and business development experience. Experience with campground or rental operations is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to work in both office and shop environments. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Ability to inspect RVs and move throughout service areas safely.
