General Manager

About the Role The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of funeral home and cemetery operations at Williams Funeral Home and Polk Memorial Gardens. This includes ensuring families receive exceptional care, driving financial and operational performance, and leading a dedicated team of professionals. We are looking for a leader who values community connection, inspires others, and is committed to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day operations of funeral home and cemetery locations with a focus on service excellence. Coach, mentor, and develop staff while fostering a positive and supportive team culture. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing funeral and cemetery services. Monitor financial performance, create annual plans, and achieve established goals. Build strong relationships with families, community leaders, and local partners. Oversee facility and grounds maintenance to ensure a welcoming and dignified environment. Develop and implement marketing initiatives and host community events that grow market share. Drive innovation by encouraging new service offerings and creative ways to serve families. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in funeral home, cemetery, or related service industry. Licensed Funeral Director. Proven track record of achieving financial and operational goals. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; bilingual abilities a plus. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Why Join Williams?
