We are seeking an experienced and dynamic retail leader to oversee the operations of our cannabis dispensary. The Retail Store Manager will provide strategic leadership, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, financial performance, and an exceptional customer experience. This role is critical to supporting growth, developing high-performing teams, and scaling retail operations in a fast-paced, regulated industry.
Job Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development Recruit, hire, coach, and develop high-performing retail members, building strong teams to meet operational and sales goals. Foster a culture of accountability, operational discipline, and customer-first mindset across all locations. Support employee engagement, retention, and leadership development initiatives. Operational & Compliance Oversight Ensure consistent execution of standardized policies, procedures, and SOPs across all stores. Maintain full compliance with state and local cannabis regulations. Oversee store operations including staffing, scheduling, daily inventory, and operational performance to maximize productivity and profitability. (FTE etc.) Monitor inventory health, supply chain flow, and ensure efficient product movement across all retail locations. Financial & Performance Management Partner with Finance to manage store budgets and P&L performance across the district. Drive sales performance by setting goals, monitoring KPIs, and activating teams around revenue and operational objectives. Collaborate with store leadership to identify performance gaps and implement corrective action plans. Marketing & Customer Engagement Work with Marketing teams to implement promotional campaigns, product launches, and customer engagement initiatives that drive traffic and conversion. Kiosk Display and shopping/customer experience Strategic Growth & Market Analysis Support long-term market expansion strategies and provide insights on opportunities, competitive trends, and operational scalability.
Education & Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of multi-unit or high-volume store leadership experience, consistently delivering operational and financial results. Proven success overseeing large teams, including hiring, coaching, and developing managers at scale. Experience managing stores with significant annual sales volume. Strong proficiency in retail systems, POS platforms, inventory software, and general computer applications. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly under pressure. High energy, results-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment. Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the district, including overnight stays. Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional influence skills. Passion for the cannabis industry, retail excellence, and elevating customer experience. Must meet all state employment eligibility requirements, including age and background check compliance.
Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds if relevant to job duties listed above. Throughout extended periods must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking throughout the workday.
