Job Description

Destination Wedding Venue & Guest Ranch Position Overview We are seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven leader to oversee the operations, guest strategy for a destination wedding venue and guest ranch. This is a senior leadership role responsible for both daily operations and revenue generation, including weddings, corporate retreats, family gatherings, and private events. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator who can also sell, lead teams, and manage complex multi-day events with precision and care. As a family-owned property, we value integrity, servant leadership, teamwork, and authentic hospitality. While we host a wide range of events and guests, our leadership culture is grounded in strong family values and a faith-centered approach to how we serve people and run the business. This is not a "desk-only" role. It requires presence on-site, especially during peak event weekends. Key Responsibilities Operations & Hospitality Leadership Oversee daily operations of lodging, venue, and guest ranch Ensure flawless execution of wedding weekends and group stays Lead hospitality, event, housekeeping, maintenance, and support teams Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest experience Manage staffing schedules and operational readiness for events Resolve guest and operational issues in real time Build and maintain a strong service culture across all departments ⸻ Event & Wedding Execution Lead on-site execution of destination weddings and multi-day events Coordinate timelines, vendors, and logistics for full event weekends Ensure seamless transitions between lodging, ceremony, reception, and guest activities Maintain high-touch guest experience standards throughout all events ⸻ Sales & Business Development Lead all sales efforts for weddings, retreats, and group bookings Manage inquiry pipeline, tours, proposals, and booking conversion Build and maintain relationships with planners, corporate clients, and referral partners Drive occupancy and revenue growth across peak and off-peak seasons Collaborate on marketing strategy and positioning ⸻ Financial & Administrative Oversight Manage operational budgets and cost control Oversee vendor contracts and purchasing Track revenue performance and booking metrics Support ownership with forecasting and planning ⸻ Qualifications (Required) Experience in Leadership in hospitality operations and/or event or wedding management Direct, hands-on experience managing both hospitality operations and event execution is required Tech-savvy with ability to manage multiple platforms (CRM, booking systems, scheduling, event management tools) Proven experience leading teams in a hospitality or destination environment Ability to work weekends, holidays, and peak event periods Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills This is not an entry-level role. Prior experience running operations or large-scale events is required. Our property spans 55 acres with river access and wildlife, so the right candidate should genuinely enjoy nature, animals, and outdoor living. A passion for stewardship of the land and guest experiences in a natural setting is important. Physical Requirements This role requires an active, mobile leader who is comfortable working throughout a large outdoor property.
Candidates should be able to:
Walk extensively across a 55-acre property Bend, stoop, lift, and move comfortably throughout the day Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Navigate uneven terrain, river areas, and ranch-style environments Maintain the energy and stamina needed for a fast-paced, hands-on hospitality operation Preferred Traits Appreciation for wildlife, nature, and outdoor hospitality Positive, self-motivated, and service-oriented attitude Comfortable in a rural, outdoor-focused environment Strong attention to property appearance and guest experience
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
