General Manager

Position Summary The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and growth of the Ladera Ranch location. This role oversees daily operations, financial performance, team development, and community engagement, while ensuring an exceptional guest experience. The GM will act as the leader of the location, driving revenue through events, operational excellence, and strong team culture. Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management Oversee all day-to-day operations of the taproom and kitchen Ensure consistent execution of service standards, food quality, and beer presentation Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations Manage inventory levels (beer, food, supplies) and ordering processes Ensure proper opening/closing procedures and cash handling controls Financial Performance Own and manage the location's P&L Control labor costs, food cost, and overall prime cost targets Analyze sales trends and adjust staffing, hours, and promotions accordingly Identify opportunities to increase revenue and reduce waste Manage budgets and implement cost-saving initiatives Team Leadership & Development Hire, train, and develop front
  • and back-of-house staff Create and manage staff schedules aligned with business needs Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions Delegate responsibilities effectively (inventory, tips, merchandising, etc.
) Events & Community Engagement Assist the marketing department with development and execution of yearly events calendar (minimum one event per month) Assist in the planning and oversee key events such as: Anniversary Party Oktoberfest Holiday events (e.g., Beer & Carols) Coordinate live music, vendor partnerships, and community collaborations Build relationships with local businesses and organizations Drive private event bookings and ensure seamless execution Guest Experience Ensure every guest receives exceptional hospitality Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally Monitor and respond to online reviews (Google, Yelp, etc.) Create a welcoming and community-driven environment Marketing & Sales Support Collaborate on promotions, social media, and marketing initiatives Execute in-store marketing and upselling strategies Drive repeat business through guest engagement and events Support loyalty and customer communication programs Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations (ABC, health, labor laws) Enforce company policies and procedures Maintain workplace safety standards and training compliance Qualifications 3+ years of management experience in hospitality (brewery, restaurant, or bar required) Strong understanding of P&L management and cost controls Proven leadership and team-building skills Knowledge of craft beer and food service operations is a plus Strong organizational and communication skills Key Traits for Success Hands-on leader who leads by example Highly organized and detail-oriented Strong problem solver and decision-maker Passion for hospitality, community, and craft beer Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
