Job Description
Job Title:
General Production Worker Job Description This role focuses on welding thermoplastic composite materials into rolls using heat and steam, primarily with an iron mounted on a fixed track. You will perform simple, repetitive production tasks while standing at a workstation for most of the shift, ensuring consistent quality and meeting production metrics in a clean, technology-driven manufacturing environment. Responsibilities + Weld composite materials together using a heat-steaming iron mounted on a fixed track, pushing the iron back and forth along the table to create continuous rolls (kits). + Use a handheld 2-pound iron as needed to perform touch-up work and repair welds if they break or do not meet quality standards. + Stand at a production table for extended periods (typically 8-10 hours) while performing repetitive welding and production tasks. + Maintain consistent focus and attention to detail to ensure weld quality and adherence to production specifications. + Meet established production metrics and goals while working at a fast pace throughout the shift. + Work independently with minimal supervision, managing time and workflow to complete daily tasks efficiently. + Inspect materials and finished rolls visually, using good vision and an eye for fine details to identify defects or inconsistencies. + Perform general production and labor tasks such as handling materials, using basic hand tools, and supporting assembly, packaging, and loading activities as needed. + Learn and support different departments as required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to assist wherever needed in the production process. + Follow all safety procedures, shop rules, and clean process standards to maintain a safe, orderly, and highly clean work environment. + Maintain reliable attendance, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude while contributing to a friendly and collaborative shop culture. Essential Skills + Prior manufacturing experience performing repetitive work such as assembly, line work, or general production. + Comfort working independently and performing simple, repetitive, and monotonous tasks throughout the day. + Ability to stay focused while working alone, including being comfortable keeping to yourself and concentrating on your work. + Willingness to learn different departments and perform a variety of tasks as needed to support production. + Strong attention to detail and the ability to see fine details, with good vision to identify quality issues. + Experience meeting production goals and working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. + Background in general labor, production, or similar roles involving hand tools, assembly, packaging, or loading. + Ability to stand on your feet at a stationary workstation for long periods (8-10 hours) and work at a consistent pace. + Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and a positive, cooperative attitude. The environment is fast paced, with production metrics to meet, and involves standing at a table for long periods (typically 8-10 hours) in a very stationary position while performing light-duty tasks. The facility maintains clean processes, so employees typically leave work as clean as when they arrived. The team currently consists of around 70 people, with a history of supporting a larger workforce, and the culture emphasizes friendliness, professionalism, and collaboration. Depending on company policies, employees may be able to work quietly and independently, potentially listening to music or audio content while staying focused and productive. Dress is appropriate for a clean manufacturing shop, with any required safety or protective gear provided according to facility standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out ofPOST FALLS, ID.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00- $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
