Job Title:
General Production Worker Job Description This role focuses on creating safety fabric liners used on construction job sites. You will handle materials, assemble components, operate high-heat and high-pressure welding machines, and prepare finished products for shipment. The position requires strong attention to detail, accurate counting, and basic math skills to ensure custom fabric panels are produced to exact specifications. Responsibilities Create safety fabric liners that will be used on construction job sites according to custom specifications. Pull and stage materials needed for production, ensuring the correct types and quantities are available. Assemble accessories and components prior to welding and final fabrication. Operate machinery that welds fabric materials together using high heat and pressure, following all safety and operating procedures. Count pieces of fabric accurately and cut them to custom lengths based on production orders. Heat steam and weld multiple pieces of fabric together, sometimes up to 40 pieces per panel, ensuring high-quality seams and alignment. Inspect finished panels for quality, accuracy, and completeness before packaging. Package completed orders securely and prepare them for shipment, including labeling and documentation as needed. Handle material loading and unloading for production and shipping using appropriate equipment and safe lifting techniques. Support general production tasks such as packing, inventory handling, and basic saw operation as required. Use RF scanners or similar tools to track inventory and order status, when applicable. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow all safety guidelines and procedures. Essential Skills High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cutting, counting, and assembling fabric panels. Basic math and counting skills to measure, count, and verify fabric pieces and materials. Previous manufacturing, production, or warehouse experience Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift experience or willingness to learn forklift operation. Experience with saw operation in a production or warehouse environment. Experience using RF scanners for inventory and order tracking. Interest in learning to operate a lamination machine, which can lead to higher pay. Motivation to grow into other roles such as inside sales, outside sales, or leadership positions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
