Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading and building teams, with operational expertise in the fencing or construction-related industries. This role is crucial in overseeing our sales teams and subcontractors who install fences, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage daily operations of the company, ensuring all processes run smoothly and efficiently. Oversee and support sales teams, ensuring targets are met and exceeded. Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely and quality installation of fencing projects. Develop and implement strategies to improve operational performance and achieve company goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers. Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and local codes. Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork, professional development, and alignment with our core values.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a General Manager or similar roles in the fencing, construction, or related industries. Strong leadership and team-building skills. Excellent operational management skills with a focus on efficiency and quality. Ability to oversee sales teams and drive performance. Experience managing subcontractors and ensuring project completion. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to make strategic decisions and problem-solve effectively. Knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost management. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and local codes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field. Experience in the fencing industry is helpful. BC-S Specialty Contractor license is a plus Computer savvy.
