Position Summary:

We're seeking a thoughtful, organized, and people-centered leader to join our team as a General Store & Inventory Manager. This role blends operational excellence with strong, supportive leadership—ensuring the store runs seamlessly while creating a positive, uplifting environment for both staff and customers. You'll be at the heart of the operation, balancing compliance, inventory, team development, and an exceptional in-store experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and customer interactions Create and maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and motivating work culture Supervise staff performance through coaching, mentoring, and conducting performance reviews Lead hiring efforts, including interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing training and development Manage scheduling to ensure strong coverage during peak hours while maintaining labor efficiency Oversee the full inventory lifecycle: purchasing, receiving, intake, storage, replenishment, audits, and reconciliation Ensure full compliance with New York State Office of Cannabis Management regulations, including METRC tracking, documentation, and reporting Uphold all security protocols, product storage standards, and restricted access requirements Coordinate merchandising strategies to optimize product placement and enhance the customer experience Utilize POS systems for transactions, inventory updates, and reporting Monitor sales performance, support budget management, and contribute to marketing initiatives that drive visibility and growth Maintain exceptional customer service standards by addressing questions with care and resolving concerns efficiently Keep accurate records across sales, inventory, and operational performance for internal and regulatory review Contribute to a team culture rooted in collaboration, growth, and shared success

Qualifications:

2-4 years of retail, operations, or inventory management experience (cannabis experience preferred) Working knowledge of the Marihuana Regulation and Taxation Act (MRTA) and NYS cannabis retail regulations Experience with POS systems and inventory tracking platforms (e.g., METRC) Strong leadership presence with a supportive, solutions-oriented approach Highly organized with strong attention to detail and compliance Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment Must be able to pass required background checks in accordance with NYS regulations

Must be at least 21 years of age Background check required Must comply with all applicable New York State cannabis laws, rules, and regulations Employment is contingent upon adherence to all company policies, including security, confidentiality, and non-diversion of cannabis products This position operates in a highly regulated environment; strict compliance is required at all times
