Job Summary
Join a dynamic team at a world-class institution, where you'll combine fieldwork and office tasks to create comprehensive campus maps. This internship involves using state-of-the-art surveying equipment and aerial imagery to map key campus features, including roads, pathways, planting beds, water features, and other landscape elements. You'll employ cutting-edge software such as ESRI, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD, as well as other interactive applications, to produce high-quality maps for various projects. Additionally, you'll capture 360-degree photos of building interiors, contributing to an integrated GIS and collections data system.
Essential Duties
Performs mapping and analysis using ArcGIS and AutoCAD software
Generate the campus basemap by converting the civil survey CAD file into a GIS shapefile
Utilize geoprocessing tools to update and enhance existing databases
Support the Planning and Design team with mapping and data visualization tasks
Perform other related duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
Currently enrolled in college
Proficiency in ArcGIS software
Preferred Qualifications
Strong ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
Preferably a junior or senior with coursework or experience in GIS, geography, urban planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture or a related field
Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Hiring Range
$19.00 - $22.50 Per Hour
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
