At Kuehne+Nagel, our work is about more than we imagine. ‎ We are seeking a Global Air Logistics Operational Key Account Manager to join our commercial organization and manage a portfolio of strategic customers. In this role, you will be the primary owner of customer relationships, responsible for driving commercial growth, ensuring service excellence, and building long-term partnerships. You will work closely with internal operational, pricing, and customer care teams to deliver integrated ocean freight solutions that meet customer supply chain needs. How you create impact In this role, you will be responsible for owning and developing key customer relationships while driving business performance.
Your responsibilities include:
Acting as the main commercial point of contact for assigned key accounts Developing and maintaining long-term, strategic customer partnerships Managing the end-to-end commercial relationship, from contract implementation to ongoing performance management Driving volume growth, revenue, and profitability across the assigned account portfolio Understanding customer supply chain needs and proposing tailored ocean freight solutions Coordinating closely with operations, pricing, customer care, and other internal stakeholders to ensure consistent service delivery Leading regular business reviews, performance discussions, and strategic planning sessions with customers Identifying new business opportunities, supporting tenders, and managing contract renewals Monitoring customer performance, market trends, and competitive activity to support data-driven decision-making Ensuring compliance with internal governance, processes, and global account management standards What we would like you to bring Solid understanding of international trade, ocean freight operations, and global supply chains Experience managing key or strategic customer accounts, ideally at a regional or global level Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and work effectively in a matrix organization Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior customer stakeholders Ability to influence and collaborate across teams without direct authority This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. The target total compensation (base + bonus) range for this position is between $75,000 and $85,000. Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
