• Part-time Job Overview Prairie Fruits Farm and Creamery is seeking a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Milker to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for milking our goats, feeding them, and ensuring their well-being. After each shift, thorough cleaning and sanitizing of the milking area and equipment is required. We take pride in our commitment to food safety and animal welfare, and we expect the same dedication from our team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Milking Goats:

Operate milking equipment to efficiently and safely milk goats.

Feeding Goats:

Ensure all goats are fed according to their nutritional needs.

Cleaning Duties:

Clean and sanitize milking equipment, stalls, and work areas after each shift.

Animal Welfare:

Monitor the health and well-being of the goats, reporting any concerns to management.

Food Safety:

Adhere to strict food safety protocols to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and product quality.

Qualifications:

Experience in farming or animal care is beneficial but not required. Strong commitment to food safety and animal welfare. Ability to work early morning and evening shifts. Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Reliable transportation to and from the farm.

Work Schedule:

The position requires 2-5 shifts per week, with flexibility in scheduling to cover both morning and evening shifts as needed.

Pay Rate and Benefits:

$15

• 17/hour based on experience 90 day and annual wage reviews Employee discount on meals and farm store purchases.
