Position Information Posting Number A1389 Working Title Graduate Assistant - Office of Grants Accounting Location McAllen, Texas College N/A Department Office of Research Division Division of Research FTE .5 Scope of Job This position is for Summer 2026 with a June 1, 2026 tentative start date. Student will be assisting with accounting related tasks in the Office of Grants Accounting, such a project reconciliation, preparing requisitions, drafting financial statements and reports, providing support to Research Faculty and Staff, among other duties and special projects as assigned. Discipline Specific Required Qualifications Accounting background (basic accounting classes). Must be a full-time graduate student (9 hours during the Fall or Spring semester and 3 hours during Summer months) (6 hours during the AOP term or module). Able to work well with diverse group of people including faculty, staff, and students. Detail and Analytical oriented. Effective communication skills for interacting with staff/faculty. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, preferably in Excel. Preferred Qualifications Full time Graduate Student, Master in Accounting or Business Administration.
