Responsibilities Managed grain buying, selling, merchandising, trading, and hedging activities in fast-moving commodity markets. Built strong customer relationships and developed customized grain marketing and hedging plans based on producer goals and market conditions. Assisted customers with grain sales strategies, futures contracts, basis contracts, hedging, and risk management solutions. Monitored commodity markets daily to provide pricing recommendations, marketing opportunities, and hedging strategies. Coordinated grain contracts, logistics, and communication between producers, end users, and transportation partners. Worked closely with customers to maximize profitability while minimizing market risk exposure through effective marketing and hedging practices. Qualifications Proven experience in commodity trading or grain merchandising with a strong understanding of agricultural markets. Excellent negotiation skills combined with a solid grasp of securities law and regulatory frameworks affecting commodities trading. Strong financial background with proficiency in financial concepts such as investment analysis, risk management, and asset management. Ability to perform complex math calculations accurately under pressure while analyzing market data. Knowledge of securities law, risk analysis techniques, and financial analysis methodologies essential for informed decision-making. Experience utilizing research tools and conducting detailed market research to inform trading strategies.
