Job Description
Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Granite Polisher to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for refining and finishing granite surfaces to achieve a high-quality, polished appearance that meets our exacting standards. Your expertise will help transform raw stone into stunning, polished pieces used in construction, interior design, and custom fabrication projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy machinery and precision tools in a fast-paced environment where craftsmanship and attention to detail are highly valued. Duties Operate polishing machines, hand tools, and power tools to smooth and finish granite surfaces with precision. Use fabrication and machining techniques to shape and refine stone materials according to project specifications. Handle materials safely using forklifts, heavy equipment, and proper materials handling procedures. Perform routine maintenance on polishing equipment and ensure all tools are in optimal working condition. Assist with assembly, installation, and finishing of granite components in the fabrication process. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members on projects involving millwork, construction, or custom fabrication to ensure quality standards are met. Qualifications Prior experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or construction environments is preferred. Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, welding, and heavy equipment operation is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge related to machinery maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus. Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is beneficial; certification is a plus. Familiarity with warehouse procedures, machining processes, and assembly techniques enhances your fit for this role. Ability to read technical drawings or blueprints related to millwork or stone fabrication is advantageous.
