Job Summary:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Ensure safety, quality, production and housekeeping standards are met at all times Production activities
  • Planning and scheduling of workload, production and quality control.
Lead root cause analysis efforts to identify and correct the root causes of events, as opposed to simply addressing their symptoms Accurately and timely prepare required reports and maintain accurate data and other records as required Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings using Lean Manufacturing principles, continuous improvement and problem solving techniques where applicable Ensure equipment is operated safely and correctly, with good preventative maintenance Effective maintenance of customer expectations and communication with customers at all times Ensure efficient operation of primary and secondary crushing plants. Ensure operators are appropriately trained, and uphold SGI standards Monitor and manage production KPI's, development and implementation of operational improvements Develop and improve assigned production personnel skills in preparation for future career opportunities, and perform employee reviews and disciplinary actions Articulate and document site goals and objectives Level Based Competencies Communication Safety Leadership Resolving Conflict Operational Decision Making Coaching Planning and Organizing Creating a Culture of Trust Continuous Improvement Technical knowledge/skills Operations Planning and Scheduling Manufacturing and process engineering exposure, including M&I flow, standard operations, plant layout, waste elimination, continuous improvement, engineering change control Experience with the manufacturing functionality of ERP/MRP systems Exposure to Quality Management systems and delivering against Customer requirements. Problem identification and analysis skill with ability to quickly and effectively implement solutions at the root cause level Preferred Six Sigma knowledge or Green Belt/Black Belt certification General knowledge/skills Effective Communication Skills

  • Engineering or Sciences (preferred) 10+ years experience in heavy industrial or 5+ years of mining Dimensions No.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in enclosed facilities and outdoor areas where extremes of heat, cold, dust, noise, wet conditions and rough terrain exist. Up to 50% of the work is administrative in nature.
