Job Description

With a rich history dating back to 1957, the company operates extensively across multiple countries, providing top-tier products for competitive racing, cruising, and recreational sailing. Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Graphics Operator to join our graphics team. As a member of the North Sails Graphics Team the Graphics Operator is responsible for completing painted graphics on sails and other media and for all production aspects of large format printing. They will be responsible for cutting print orders, vinyl graphics, insignia graphics, paper patterns, and templates using a large cutting machine. Duties Operate and maintain all of the printing equipment, including large format printer, vinyl plotting, and printer operation. Be able to perform, but not limited to, production processes of printing, weeding, vinyl application/installation, mix ink to create custom colors, apply templates, drawings, and/or other graphics. Determine job requirements by reviewing job spec forms and work tickets. Apply paint and inks with different tools, such as brushes, rollers, sponges, or sprayers. Perform quality control process including cleaning and production preparation for shipment and delivery. Ability to diagnose and correct potential production problems contained within design files including digital file sizes, printing issues, and finishing concerns. Coordinate with graphics management on assignments to meet aggressive deadlines. Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment as required. Continually maintain a high level of product quality and craftsmanship. Innovate and embrace project challenges to find the best and most cost-effective client solution. Regular and predictable physical presence and attendance at the worksite is required to interact with management and team members. Document completed work, including taking pictures, and maintain in a library. Manage inventory levels and incoming materials. Perform related duties and responsibilities, as assigned or requested. Qualifications High school graduate or the equivalent. Basic computer skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and operate efficiently in a time sensitive production environment. Interpersonal verbal/written skills. Strong attention to detail. Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs. and work on knees for an 8+ hour shift. Organizational skills, the ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines.

From $18.00 per hour
