Job Description

Role Overview As a Greenhouse Grower at Goodness Gardens, you'll take hands-on responsibility for cultivating our fresh culinary herbs in a controlled environment. You'll ensure healthy plant growth, maintain high quality standards, and support continuous improvement across our greenhouse operations.
You Will:
Propagate, transplant, and space herb seedlings (basil, mint, oregano, etc.) according to crop schedules Monitor and adjust irrigation, fertigation, temperature, humidity, and CO₂ levels for optimal plant health Scout daily for pests, diseases and nutrient deficiencies; implement integrated pest management (IPM) and organic-approved treatments Apply organic growing practices in accordance with USDA organic standards (e.g., organic fertilizers, soil amendments, and pest controls) Harvest, trim, and prepare herbs for packing, ensuring product meets Goodness Gardens' quality specifications Record daily crop data (growth metrics, inputs used, pest/disease observations) in our CMMS or farm management system
You Are:
Experienced in greenhouse operations or commercial horticulture, with strong knowledge of plant nutrition, environmental controls, and organic production methods Detail-oriented and proactive—able to spot issues early and take corrective action Physically fit and comfortable working in variable temperatures, often lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods A clear communicator who collaborates well with team members, production supervisors, and QC staff
