Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Grill Cook to join our fine dining kitchen team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of high-quality ingredients, precise cooking techniques, and the ability to execute dishes consistently at an elevated standard. This role requires professionalism, efficiency under pressure, and a commitment to culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of proteins and grilled items to exact specifications, ensuring proper temperature, texture, and presentation Maintain consistency and quality in every dish, adhering to the restaurant's standards and recipes Monitor grill station inventory and communicate needs to the kitchen leadership team Ensure all food is handled, stored, and prepared in compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines Coordinate with other kitchen stations to ensure timely and accurate service during peak hours Assist with prep work, including portioning meats, marinating, and organizing mise en place Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station at all times Contribute to a positive, professional kitchen environment and support team members as needed
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a grill cook, preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment Strong knowledge of cooking temperatures, meat cuts, and grilling techniques Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Attention to detail and commitment to quality and presentation Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices Strong communication and teamwork skills Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment
