Ground Hand/Lineman

Duties Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of overhead telecommunication cables, and fiber optic systems. Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, power tools, and other construction machinery safely and efficiently. Perform climbing duties on utility poles using appropriate safety gear while adhering to all safety standards. Support fiber splicing and cabling tasks for telecommunication networks, including LAN (Local Area Network), Ethernet, WAN (Wide Area Network), and low voltage systems. Use hand tools and power tools to install, troubleshoot, and repair network components. Read schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints to accurately execute construction or repair tasks. • Support low voltage wiring projects involving Ethernet cables, LAN connections, and telephony systems. Conduct inspections of telecommunications line Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment. Qualifications Prior experience in field service work related to telecommunication systems is preferred. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks safely. Familiarity with fiber splicing, cabling techniques, schematics interpretation, and network infrastructure is highly desirable. Experience with hand tools, power tools, wiring, construction practices, and climbing poles or structures. Strong understanding of telecommunications safety standards and protocols for working at heights or with live wires. Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately for installation or troubleshooting purposes.
