ABOUT US
: Travelers Country Club (TCC) is a member-owned, seasonal community located in Clear Lake, MN. The property includes a 9-hole golf course, clubhouse with swimming pool/sauna, various sports courts (tennis, pickleball, volleyball, etc.) gardens, and other park facilities. TCC is open to members from mid-April to mid-October.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
The Grounds and Golf Course Lead is responsible for continual maintenance of TCC and its park facilities. This position is responsible for monitoring and maintaining conditions of the park including grounds, golf course, and helps with additional support, as needed, at the pool and clubhouse. This position is 32-40 hours per week from April through October. If you are newly retired and want to stay busy or looking to "snowbird" in the winter, this might be just the job for you!QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Small engine knowledge and basic equipment maintenance management. Independently identify project priorities, manage time effectively, and complete directed actions. Possess or has ability to obtain appropriate licenses, e.g., certified pool operator, etc. Ability to partner with front office personnel and Board of Directors. Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to receive and give clear direction. Possess a valid MN driver's license. The ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.JOB DUTIES
Operates TCC in accordance with park Bylaws, rules, and regulations. Reports to the President and/or person(s) assigned by the Board of Directors. Manages the high-level operations of the organization as directed, which includes and is not limited to supervision of seasonal grounds personnel. Performs minor and general repairs of TCC facilities including but not limited to painting, mechanical, etc. Demonstrates common sense, good judgment, and consistency in day-to-day contact with all TCC stakeholders (personnel, members/guests, vendors, etc.). Identifies areas for continuous operational improvement (process, facilities, equipment, etc.) Provide direction or perform mowing, weeding and trimming of common grounds; coordinating with vendors as needed. Provide work direction or perform maintenance of the roads, irrigation system, pool, streetlights, park equipment; coordinating with vendors as needed. Supervise and schedule seasonal operations in coordination with the other park staff for seasonal start-up and close-down (water lines, leaf clean-up, facilities secured). Partner with Treasurer in the planning and management of grounds maintenance budget.Golf Course:
Coordinate with grounds staff and vendors in the mowing and trimming of golf course, including maintaining common and rough areas of course, greens and fairways, weed and tree trimming. Overall course maintenance including irrigation system, top-dress, seeding, sanding, aerating, chemicals and pesticide application as necessary. Partner with Board of Directors golf representative(s) to maintain overall course functionality and appearance while managing operational budget. Additionally, help may be needed throughout the year with the following:Pool:
help as needed to ensure daily and recurring procedures of pool maintenance. Water Supply ,Tanks, Pumps, Lines and Sewer Systems:
help to maintain a safe, high quality water system throughout the park with seasonal start-up and close-down and any necessary repairs, as needed, during the season.Personnel :
help to select and train seasonal staff to effectively perform grounds and facilities duties while ensuring compliance with all OSHA requirements, state regulations, etc.Buildings:
help to provide work direction or perform tasks necessary to ensure park buildings are well maintained and professional in appearance, coordinating with vendors as needed.Equipment Maintenance :
help to manage equipment properly to ensure effective and efficient use, including providing work directions or performing routine maintenance, inventory of all park equipment, and seasonal storage when not in use.Pay:
