Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and pruning to uphold aesthetic standards. Operate hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers efficiently and safely. Conduct lawn care activities like aeration, fertilization, and irrigation system checks to promote healthy growth. Assist with tree care tasks including trimming, pruning, and basic tree health assessments using appropriate tools. Support snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access around the property. Maintain hardscape features such as pathways, patios, and retaining walls through cleaning and minor repairs. Help with general maintenance tasks including light construction work, equipment repairs, and facility upkeep using mechanical knowledge and hand tools. Requirements Basic mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in landscaping or groundskeeping. Familiarity with lawn care practices, landscape maintenance techniques, and gardening principles. Ability to operate landscaping machinery such as excavators (training provided if necessary) and power tools safely. Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant health care, irrigation systems, and tree care practices. Experience with snow plowing equipment is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions. Excellent attention to detail along with good communication skills for teamwork and safety procedures.
