Agency Adult Correction Division COO
- Administration Job Classification Title Grounds Supervisor I (S) Position Number 60089880 Grade NC05 About Us The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14,000 employees.
- Completing work assignments received from MMS work order system and the Maintenance/Construction Supervisor.
- Mowing, edging, removing leaves, trash, and snow, and trimming trees and shrubs as required.
- Applying pesticides and selecting plants and trees which are adaptable to the local climate.
- Sketching landscape plans for undeveloped areas, locating plants, trees, sidewalks, roads, etc.
- Preparing requisitions for supplies, materials, and equipment needed for grounds department and providing cost estimates for expenditures to maintain the grounds and equipment.
- Ensuring grounds equipment has up-to-date service records and is cleaned regularly.
- Making minor mechanical repairs to equipment such as tractors, mowers, disks, and rakes
- Supervising the work of skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled labor (including offenders) and ensuring they are adhering to OSHA guidelines for safety.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range:
$33,902- $59,327 Pay Grade NC05 The Posting Will Close At 11:59 P.M.
