Job Summary The Temporary Grounds Worker (28 hours/week) is responsible in helping to maintain the grounds and landscaping of the College.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrate clear and effective written and verbal communication skills Maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all projects. Provide strong and clear communication, customer service, and inter-personal skills Ability to work independently Able to cooperatively work with diverse groups of students and staff Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent 1-2 years' experience related to general grounds and landscaping maintenance Must have a valid Driver's License. Physical Demands Work is normally performed in an outdoor setting; however this position requires reaching, standing, walking, repetitive motions for the appropriate maintenance of the grounds. Requires Physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials. This position requires activity that may require incumbent to lift 50lbs on occasion; 20lbs frequently, and 10lbs consistently. No Description of Job Duty Assist in maintaining grounds and landscaping of College; responsibilities include mow lawns, maintain landscaping, maintain an attractive campus, trim bushes, pull weeds, and replace plants in landscape beds, mulch. Assist in performing routine and ongoing maintenance; log activities. Assist in maintaining athletic fields for practice and games. Assist in the upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, or other grounds features. Operates grounds related equipment, maintenance and custodial equipment for the purpose of accomplishing the job in an efficient manner. Perform other duties of a similar nature as directed.
