Groundskeeper/ Maintenance Technician

The Housing Authority of Lancaster is accepting applications for a full-time Groundskeeper/Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and general upkeep of Housing Authority properties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate lawn mowers, weed eaters, blowers, and other landscaping equipment Perform routine grounds keeping duties including mowing, trimming, edging, and debris removal Pressure Wash outside units, walkways- as needed Complete general maintenance and repair work in residential units and common areas Paint apartments, offices, and common areas as needed Perform sheetrock repair, patching, and minor carpentry work Assist with unit turnovers and property preparation for new tenants Conduct basic plumbing, electrical, and maintenance repairs as assigned Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner Respond to maintenance work orders in a timely manner

Qualifications:

Experience in groundskeeping and general maintenance preferred Knowledge of lawn care equipment and maintenance tools Ability to paint, repair sheetrock, and perform basic repairs Ability to lift, bend, climb, and work outdoors in varied weather conditions Valid driver's license preferred Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently • Equal Opportunity Statement • The Housing Authority of Lancaster is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
