$15.00 Employees being promoted to a higher classified position receive the minimum for the position or a pay rate adjustment of 8% whichever is greater. All regular positions also entitle the employee to several benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement which is largely paid by New Mexico Tech for the employee and dependents.

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs general grounds maintenance activities for the Grounds Department including but not limited to Maintenance of all trees, shrubs, and flowerbeds, maintenance of all turf, and new landscape installations, greenhouse production for campus flower beds, irrigation maintenance, sidewalk edging, and refuse removal. Other duties as assigned.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Daily mowing, trash removal, irrigation repair, watering, transplanting, leaf removal, weeding, pruning trees and shrubs on campus and the golf course & other duties as assigned. String trimming and sidewalk edging. Monitor turf conditions while cutting, trimming and edging. Perform maintenance on mowing & trimming equipment on a daily basis.

Participate in the installation of the new landscape when required. Other Duties as assigned.
