Role:

The Growing Manager in the wholesale trade industry is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the cultivation and production processes to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality products. This role involves strategic planning and management of growing operations, including resource allocation, crop scheduling, and quality control. The Growing Manager collaborates closely with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to align production with market demand and company goals. They are also tasked with implementing sustainable and efficient growing practices to maximize yield while minimizing costs and environmental impact. Ultimately, the role aims to drive growth and profitability by ensuring that the growing operations meet both quality standards and delivery timelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or similar work experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing growing or agricultural operations. Strong knowledge of crop production techniques and plant health management. Experience with resource planning and operational management in a production environment. Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to agricultural production.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in wholesale trade or supply chain management within the agricultural sector. Proficiency with agricultural technology and data analysis tools. Knowledge and practice of integrated pest management. Demonstrated leadership experience managing diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement effective growing strategies to meet production targets and quality standards. Manage daily operations of growing facilities, including staff supervision, resource management, and workflow coordination. Monitor crop health and growth progress, applying best practices in pest control, irrigation, and fertilization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as procurement, sales, and logistics to forecast demand and adjust production schedules accordingly. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and sustainability initiatives. Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Train and mentor growing staff to enhance skills and maintain high performance levels.
