Our operations span 3.7 million square feet of growing space across 6 farms and 468 indoor growing rooms, including several organically certified operations. As a Mushroom Grower, you will be responsible for cultivating and managing the growth of mushrooms in a controlled environment. Your duties will involve monitoring growing conditions and ensuring the health and quality of the mushroom crop. This role requires a keen attention to detail, understanding of mushroom biology, and the ability to work in a regulated environment. This position operates on a five-day workweek schedule, with working hours ranging from 45 to 48 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Cultivate mushrooms according to specified procedures and schedules. Monitor environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity to optimize mushroom growth. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards to prevent contamination and ensure food safety. Inspect mushrooms regularly for signs of disease, pests, or other issues, and take appropriate actions to address them. Maintain accurate records of cultivation activities, including growth progress and any observations or adjustments made. Operate and maintain equipment used in mushroom cultivation, such as humidity controllers and ventilation systems. Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and achieve production targets. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

Specific training in agriculture, biology, mycology, or a bachelor's degree in horticulture is highly preferred. Knowledge of mushroom biology, growth cycles, and cultivation techniques or Previous experience in similar agricultural work is a a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
