Job Description:
We are looking to add a Growth & Development Consultant to join our Growth & Development team in West Des Moines, IA office. Offering a forward-thinking, innovative, and vibrant company culture, along with the opportunity to share your unique potential, there really is no place like Holmes!
Essential Responsibilities:
Design, develop and implement learning programs following the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) methodology. Design and develop engaging eLearning content using Articulate (Storyline/Rise) and other authoring tools. Serve as the administrator for Workday Learning and LinkedIn Learning, including managing content, user access, and system functionality. Independently consults with business leaders and necessary stakeholders to analyze organization gaps, propose, and develop solutions, and communicate and implement organizational development and learning opportunities needed to support business strategy and operational plans. Design and facilitate training curricula and/or non-training solutions for identified performance gaps. Determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, workshops, live instructor led training, self-paced learning, job aides. Contribute to positive outcomes for the client and demonstrate how solutions meet business need. In collaboration with the Sr. Growth & Development Consultant, TL, Business Partner or VP and leadership to gain knowledge of specific work situations requiring employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies. Partner with others in the organization and act as the project lead. Influence partners to achieve buy-in on proposed solutions. Select or develop testing and evaluation procedures to measure results. Coordinate measurement of progress and evaluate effectiveness of performance solutions. Report on progress of employees under guidance during training periods. Assess changes in learning and behavior at regular intervals following training, as needed. Manage the full cycle of a project from analysis to evaluation independently including ongoing, proactive communication with stakeholders, maintaining a project plan, and meeting deadlines. Proactively identifies gaps in project or initiatives, identifies a solution and shares recommendation to their leader.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma required; College degree is preferred with emphasis in one of the following: Communications, Business Administration, Education or Information Services.
Experience:
3-5 years of learning and development experience preferred; some insurance industry knowledge preferred. Proficiency in Articulate (Storyline and/or Rise) and eLearning course development required. Working knowledge of various computer software programs required.

Demonstrates a strong ability to understand business operations and apply relevant knowledge to support enterprise strategic objectives while improving efficiency, productivity, and overall effectiveness. Actively builds and maintains relationships by understanding key stakeholders, prioritizing problem‑solving, and collaborating effectively to deliver meaningful and impactful solutions. Analyzes, interprets, and evaluates information from multiple sources, connects details to the broader picture, and objectively develops practical and innovative solutions to complex challenges.
