Income:
$75,000 (on target earnings)
Position Summary:
An Insurance Sales Agent is responsible for generating new business by identifying client needs and recommending appropriate insurance solutions. This role focuses on building relationships, educating clients on coverage options, and guiding them through the purchasing process to ensure proper financial protection. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, highly communicative, and driven to grow both their personal production and the agency's overall revenue.

Objectives:
Generate new business through prospecting, referrals, networking, and community engagement. Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify client risks and coverage gaps. Present customized insurance solutions that align with client financial protection goals and agency coverage standards. Meet or exceed monthly and annual new business production targets. Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects and follow up on leads promptly. Educate clients on coverage options, policy limits, and the importance of adequate protection. Cross-sell and bundle policies to increase client value and strengthen account protection. Accurately prepare quotes, proposals, and applications in accordance with agency standards and carrier guidelines. Maintain detailed and organized client records within the agency's software systems. Build long term relationships with clients to encourage retention and referrals. Collaborate with service team members to ensure smooth onboarding and client excellence. Stay informed on carrier products, underwriting guidelines, and market changes. Participate in sales meetings, training, and professional development opportunities. Represent the agency professionally in all client interactions and community activities. Uphold compliance with licensing requirements and all applicable insurance regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Has knowledge in prospecting strategies and lead generation, with the ability to initiate conversations, and create new business opportunities through outbound and inbound efforts. Proficient in selling by asking thoughtful questions, identifying client needs, and recommending coverage solutions that align with the client's goals and priorities. Able to effectively handle objections by addressing concerns, providing clarity, and guiding clients towards informed decisions. Able to build and maintain strong client relationships through trust, consistency, and a high level of service and follow-up. Proficient in clear, confident, and professional communication across phone, email, and in-person interactions, with the ability to simplify complex information. Demonstrates strong goal orientation by setting, tracking, and consistently Proficient in managing time and prioritizing tasks to focus on high-impact activities that drive results and meet deadlines. Able to adapt to changing priorities, feedback, and business needs while maintaining a positive and solution-oriented mindset. Demonstrates professionalism in appearance, communication, and conduct, consistently presenting the agency at a high standard. Acts with integrity by being honest, transparent, and accountable in all client and team interactions.
Education and experience:
One year sales experience required High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license and clean driving record with reliable transportation Physical requirements: Prompt and efficient task management Work in an open concept office that can get loud at times Ability to spend prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk Ability to spend prolonged periods of time at a computer
