Hairstylist/Cosmetologist

Responsibilities:

1. Provide haircutting, styling, coloring, and other hair treatments according to the client's preferences and needs. 2. Stay updated on current hair trends, techniques, and products to offer clients the latest styles and advice. 3. Proactively engage with clients to understand their desired hair outcomes and recommend appropriate services based on their lifestyle, hair type, and face shape. 4. Maintain thorough knowledge of various hair products, including their benefits and usage, and effectively recommend and upsell products to clients. 5. Handle customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner, resolving any issues to enhance client satisfaction. 6. Complete all administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining client records, and processing payments accurately. 7. Adhere to salon policies, procedures, and industry health and safety standards, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for both staff and clients.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent education. 2. Valid IL cosmetology license and up-to-date knowledge of state cosmetology regulations. 3. Proven experience as a stylist in a fast-paced salon environment (5+ years of experience desired) 4. Proficiency in a wide range of hair styling techniques, including cutting, coloring, chemical treatments, and styling tools. 5. Strong understanding of different hair types, textures, and lengths. 6. Excellent customer service and communication skills. 7. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. 8. Attention to detail and commitment to providing top-notch service to clients. 9. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. 10. Knowledge of salon software and point-of-sale systems is a plus.
