We have a variety of full and part-time jobs available and are looking for candidates who are eager to learn. Our Medical Appointment Coordinators provide daily support to individuals with developmental disabilities within the home setting. Working with a team, DSPs assist with daily living skills, personalized goals, arts and crafts, games, sensory activities, and accompany on outings in the community. Starting pay is $20.25 an hour for part time and full time positions.

$3/hour

WHAT IS ARC GLOW?

We are a parent and family driven organization that empowers and supports people of all ages with a broad spectrum of emotional, intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our residential locations cover the four counties in the GLOW region, providing supports and services to over 150 people.

WHAT WOULD I BE DOING?

Responsible for assisting people supported in receiving needed/desired medical services and communicating and documenting pertinent information as per program policy (i.e., medication administration, transportation to appointments). Ensures an adequate amount of medication is on site for each individual at all times. Provides communication to residential site staff to ensure physician and clinical orders are understood and followed. Makes recommendation to the RN and/or Health Care provider to maintain and/or improve the overall health and wellness of individuals supported. Completes required paperwork on daily / as needed basis. Provides direct support as needed. Provide transportation to appointments with agency vehicles. Use various software platforms for specific job functions.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MEDICAL APPOINTMENT COORDINATOR

A valid NYS driver's license with an acceptable driving record, per agency policy, and reliable transportation to and from work is required. Excellent communication skills. The physical ability to transfer and lift people with mobility restraints. The drive to help others with personal goals and work in a team environment. The ability to efficiently use a computer.
