The candidate will lead our residential construction & facilities management efforts in maintaining the safety, functionality, and efficiency of our single-family homes. This pivotal role involves overseeing all maintenance operations, including vendor management and field operations, and ensuring that all systems—from electrical to floor cleaning —operate seamlessly. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in residential maintenance, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Candidates are required to be proficient in English and have working knowledge of various trades, i.e. electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repairs, carpentry, etc. as they will be expected to perform smaller tasks themselves. Responsibilities Handle all upkeep and maintenance needs of property including upgrades and repairs of plumbing, electrical, janitorial, sanitation, lawncare, and other aspects of handyman-related work as needed. Self-Perform small projects as required while maintaining a clean, safe, and functioning work environment. Source, vet, and contract licensed sub-contractors for large complex projects, and directly oversee the quality, schedule, and completion of work Lead and supervise maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to the highest standard of safety, quality, and efficiency across all trades. Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical wiring—including 120/277 and low voltage systems—and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals. Coordinate projects related to facilities upgrades and repairs, ensuring timely completion within scope and on budget. Conduct inspections of the property's infrastructure, including fencing, roofing, plumbing, and electrical systems, to proactively identify issues. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, safety inspections, and asset management to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Experience Proven experience managing and supervising maintenance teams within the Residential market, specifically, Single-Family dwellings. Hands-on experience performing home repairs and handyman related work Experience hiring sub-contractors to complete complex jobs on time and on budget Extensive knowledge of residential housing management practices including HVAC, electrical (120/277, low voltage, smart home), appliance repairs, mechanical systems, and maintenance procedures. Hands-on experience reading schematics for permitting, ohmmeters for electrical testing, etc. Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail, including overseeing the work of sub-contractors. Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members, vendors, and stakeholders.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
