HANDYMAN & MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST

KEY REQUIREMENTS & AVAILABILITY

Emergency On-Call:

Must be available for occasional after-hours, nights, and weekend work to handle urgent guest emergencies (leaks, lockouts, etc.).

Credentials:

Applicants who are Licensed and Insured are strongly preferred.

Location:

Must live in or very near Cedar Key for rapid response.

Equipment:

Must have your own reliable truck/vehicle and a standard set of tools.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform routine repairs and maintenance across various areas including painting, carpentry, and general building upkeep. This role focuses on high-quality, non-licensed repairs: Maintenance Category Specific Tasks Plumbing & AC Unclogging toilets/sinks, clearing AC drain lines. Surfaces & Finishes Drywall repair/patching, interior and exterior painting. Security & Tech Door lock assistance, deadbolts, and battery replacements. Exterior & Structure Pressure washing, light construction, deck maintenance. Electrical Basic non-licensed tasks (bulb changes, fixture updates).

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role with a broad skill set in repairs and building upkeep. Excellent problem-solving skills with an energetic approach to tackling diverse tasks and minimizing downtime. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Good communication skills for coordinating with the team and reporting issues effectively.
