Hardware Sales Associate

Overview Seeking a Hardware Sales Associate for historic hardware store re-opening in downtown Mineola. Prior experience with hardware is key. Duties Greet customers warmly and identify their hardware needs through active listening and engaging conversation Demonstrate products effectively by conducting compelling product demos that highlight features and benefits Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to ensure an inviting shopping environment Handle cash register operations, including cashiering, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) transactions accurately Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering technical support, and ensuring a positive shopping experience Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, organizing shelves, and assisting with stock replenishment Requirements Previous retail sales experience with Hardware specific focus. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical products clearly and confidently Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are valued for potential growth opportunities Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills for transactions and inventory counts Excellent phone etiquette for engaging with customers over the phone or in person Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves and merchandising throughout the shift

Pay:

$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
