Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Hazmat Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting hazardous materials across designated routes, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Duties Operate tractor-trailers and specialized trucks such as tankers with precision and care Load and unload hazardous materials following strict safety protocols and regulatory guidelines Drive route-specific deliveries across various locations, adhering to schedules and traffic laws Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking for leaks, securing loads, and ensuring compliance with safety standards Maintain accurate documentation for all shipments, including manifests, delivery logs, and safety reports Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly Follow all federal, state, and local regulations related to hazardous materials transportation (such as DOT regulations) Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on hazardous materials transportation (Hazmat certification preferred) Hands-on experience operating manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers Familiarity with driving tankers. Delivery driver experience with route driving in diverse environments Ability to load & unload freight safely. Knowledge of safety procedures related to handling hazardous materials and compliance standards Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (Hazmat endorsement strongly preferred) Strong understanding of freight logistics including load securement and route planning I am looking for a full time or part time driver where you can almost make your own schedule. Work anywhere from 8 to 12 hour days. Weekend flexibility is a must. Home everyday. Looking for a team player as I am a one man company with a growing business and looking to add help.
