The ideal candidate must be able to smoothly operate a 18-speed manual transmission and will be responsible for transporting Hazmat safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of freight. Responsibilities Operate a tanker tractor-trailer to transport Hazmat to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times while considering road conditions. Load and unload cargo daily, ensuring proper handling of goods. Maintain accurate driver logs and reports as required by company policies. Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery status, route changes, or any issues encountered during transit. Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations governing commercial driving. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any client inquiries or concerns. Skills Proficient in 18-speed manual truck driving with experience in operating tanker tractor-trailer trucks. Knowledge of freight handling procedures for safe loading/unloading practices of a tanker trailer. Experience as a delivery driver with a strong understanding of route driving. Strong navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS technology effectively. Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients and team members. Strong attention to detail, especially regarding safety protocols and vehicle maintenance.
