Pay:

$18 to $27/hr. Paid training and advancement opportunities up to $30/hr.

Part Time Job Summary First Call Environmental is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking a motivated individual to join our team. The Waste Driver position is a crucial part of our regional operations. Our waste driver will transport waste to support operational requirements of the local offices. First Call Environmental prefers to promote from within which presents an excellent growth opportunity to hard working individuals. Responsibilities and Duties As part of the team, you will be responding to the following: Work safely during all phases of performing the job duties required in the field and on the road Ability to perform work inside areas of varying dimensions; involving squatting and crawling for possible extended periods. Ability to follow directions. Must be able to drive a vehicle legally Must be able to understand and comply with company and client safety standards. Work outside year-round in all types of weather. May work in environments that are extreme in nature like environmental conditions such as heat, cold, heights, hazardous chemicals, loud noises, dangerous equipment, long hours etc. Maintain accurate waste log and transport records May be exposed to varying levels of physical activities and physical extremes such as long periods of standing, walking, crouching, use of hands, and heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds or more. Qualifications and Skills We prefer individuals with the following training/experience: Emergency services. Hazardous materials training. Heavy equipment operation. Use powered hand tools such as Sawzall, circular saw, powered sweepers, etc. A CDL license is preferred but not required While preferred, we are willing to train the right individuals.

Our requirements are:

Work alongside your team to lead by example Roll up your sleeves and get dirty at times Must be willing to work in bad weather Must have blue-collar job experience Valid driver's license with low/no points. Reliable transportation to and from the designated job location. Ability to work in adverse conditions. Ability to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to utilize electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, and computers. Ability to drive and safely operate heavy-duty pickup truck with enclosed trailer. Ability to navigate based on GPS or printed map. Ability to complete assigned tasks quickly and efficiently. Ability to follow basic directions. Willingness to function as part of a team.

Hours per week:

24 hours per week with the ability to add additional hours if willing to work in the field in addition to driving Wednesday through Friday but subject to change as needed per operational needs
